Meditation is not about focus or concentration nor chanting or psychic mind trips. It’s about enjoying and truly being in the moment. This is exactly how I felt at an international meditation seminar held in Milan, Italy. With over 200 people attending, there was plenty of activity along with meditation sessions throughout the day. I learnt that a good way to keep oneself going especially during times of grief is to do a refreshing “footsoak.”

FOOTSOAK
Here’s how it’s done: Get a tub and fill it with room temperature or cold water and put a handful of salt in it. (The salt water imitates the sea)
While seated on a chair, place your feet in the tub and just relax for 10 minutes or so. Finally flush the “dirty” water, rinse the tub and dry your feet. Keep the tub only for this purpose. I find footsoaking at the end of the day quite relaxing.
